It's a really depressing thing, when you think about it.

Anyone else find it funny how you'll be surfing through blogs via the convenient "next blog" button, and all of a sudden, everything is in Spanish?

iPad

I don't understand why everyone is making such a big deal about the new iPad. Yes, it is only one letter apart from "iPod," but Apple has made "iWHATEVER" famous because of the phenomenal products they make. What is the product? It's like a note pad without the paper. Who made it? Apple. What do they name all their other products? iPod, iTouch iPhone...
These aren't difficult names, people. What is the iPhone? It's a PHONE. What is the iPad? It's a TOUCH PAD.
By the consistent use of the "i" infront of what the product is, it will be easily recognized by people of the world, because when they see "iBLAHBLAH" they automatically think Apple.
Apple = futuristic, amazing, fun, cool looking, fast, efficient.
By choosing a product name that simply furthers this appeal, they're just doing the normal thing.

We all like hearing about drama that's going on in other peoples' lives, right? Right. That's why we have moronic shows about drama drama drama, and the ironic thing is, we all laugh and watch meanwhile dreading that part of the show where it ENDS, cause you know that you're gonna have to go back to that thing called life. You turn off your tvs, or you close megavideo, and you go back to the black cloud that you spend the majority of your days in.

Life is cruel.
Especially for a 17 year old girl, with too many problems to name.

So, here I am the night before I have to hand in my portfolio for Ryerson's Image Arts program, when I suddenly realize I'm not actually that good of an artist!
What the FUCK am I going to do when I don't get accepted to any of the universities I've applied to?
What then?!

I can't stay in this house for one more fucking year.

A while ago, I signed up to get 'word of the day' sent to my hotmail account. At first, I made an effort to write them down on a sticky note and attempted to use them throughout the day...
but now when I see them in my inbox, I get more annoyed than excited by seeing "1 New Message," because I know it will be a word that no one else would understand, let alone be able to spell.

However, every once and a while, I'll come across a neat word that I had forgotten.
In today's case, that word was 'stellar,' and I had been waiting all day to use it, and I finally have in the sentence:
"because you have a sweet camera and you've seen a stellar band like wcar!"

wcar of course stands for We Came As Romans

I'm sure the majority of you guys who are in grades 12 or 13 are all thinking the same thing:
"WHERE THE F*** AM I GOING TO APPLY!?"

Personally, being an artsy kind of person, I applied to Ryerson for Interior Design and Image Arts; New Media, and to OCAD (Ontario Collage of Art and Design [even though it's a university now]) for Graphic Design.

I have no idea what to expect, but am feverishly working to get all my portfolios pretty and polished.

Exams started Thursday and ended today, and boy am I GLAD to be rid of them.
Only 2 more exams next semester, then I'll be done with highschool!

...even though this is what I've wanted ever since grade 6, I'm not sure I want it anymore. The thought of moving away is appealing for the obvious reason of finally being free from the parental advisory commission I have going on... but still...

No games, no gimmicks. Amnesia Amnesia calls Belleville, Ontario home when they’re not on tour. They’ve been a band for just over a year and have released their debut EP titled “Vs The Bear” through Blacktop Records across Canada in HMV and across the world digitally on iTunes and other web based music facilitations. Amnesia Amnesia toured Ontario with The Fallacy and To Cherish for the “Expanding Horizons” tour in May of 09’ to support “Vs The Bear”. Soon after this tour the band announced that lead singer Todd Barriage was leaving the band due to personal reasons and recruited singer Tyler Charlebois to fill his shoes.

During the summer of 09’ the band accepted change and completely reinvented themselves with a new sound and a new feel that will come to be known as “The Eating Disease”. Over the summer Amnesia Amnesia wrote constantly for their second release called “The Eating Disease” that was recorded in September 09’ in Niagara, Ontario.

A new year, a new sound, new merchandise, a FREE new EP, and a lot of big things and surprises to come in the year of 2010. Keep your eyes on these guys or you’re going to miss out.

new years

so, yesterday I worked from 1 to 5:30, then headed over to my friend Austin's place where I attempted to help set up for the party he was going to be hosting, but I soon realized that everything that needed to be done involved having to be really tall - which i am not, - so I left and went home to get ready instead.

After showering, spending an hour trying to figure out what to wear, and applying my war paint, I left for my coworker Devon's house. Upon my arrival, we took shots of vodka, and watched hockey on tv. His friend Daniela arrived shortly thereafter and we ended up moving our party to the dining room to play a round of "What's Yours Like,?" which was actually extremely amusing. Jaggerbombs were passed around during the game, and by 11, Devon and Daniela were both passed out, and I got a ride to Austin's place.

I get to Austin's, and long story short, I drank more! This included taking my very first shot of tequila, lime and salt and all, with his mom Gracie. :p
I took a cab home at 2, and then hung out with my extremely sober Japanese exchange student, Azuki, and her friend Ki. They were on skype with a girl named Miwa, who was from Japan, so I took the opportunity to practice my Japanese on them. It was a fantastic end to the night :)

You know that feeling that you get in your stomach when you're scared?
That burning feeling, like the acid is trying to burn right through your skin?

The first time I ever felt that was when I was in grade 7. I had been climbing over the bathroom stall walls in the basement of my elementary school, following my best friend, just doing it for fun. Right as I'm slipping over a wall, laughing to myself, the gym teacher comes in. Next thing I know, I'm sitting in front of the principle listening to her say "give me one good reason why I shouldn't suspend you."
At the time, I didn't understand that it was perposterous to get in trouble to that extent for climbing over bathroom stall walls in an empty bathroom, so I pulled the whole "everyone makes mistakes" speech.
But now, 17 years old, about to graduate grade 12, that feeling has come back. The burning acidic feeling of fear. There's no speech I could give to talk my way out of what I've done. I find myself looking forward to sleep, because I know that I can't worry if I'm not awake, and that scares me. The fact that I look forward to the unconscious abiss of my mind - I'm worried about what it might lead to.
Why am I writing this on the internet? Because there is no one to talk to. This is my only outlet - the annonymous world wide web.
